MFT Tapping – EFT Tapping

EFT MFT Tapping
Tapping combines:
- tapping on acupuncture points
- verbal focus statements
- emotional exposure/reframing
The goal is to:
- reduce emotional intensity
- calm the nervous system
- shift emotional responses
Mental Field Therapy (often abbreviated MFT) and EFT tapping are both mind-body approaches that work with emotions, stress, and energetic patterns — but they come from different traditions and use different methods.
How EFT works
You:
- focus on a problem
- rate emotional intensity
- tap through meridian points while saying phrases
- repeat until emotional charge decreases
👉 Very structured and simple to learn.
MFT – Mental Field Technique
Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt developed MFT as part of his broader integrative healing system.
It combines:
- psycho-kinesiology
- muscle testing
- trauma work
- autonomic nervous system regulation
- energy medicine
- meridian concepts
The idea is that:
unresolved emotional conflicts and trauma can block healing physically and energetically.
How an MFT session works
A practitioner may:
- use muscle testing to identify:
- emotional conflicts
- subconscious stressors
- “blocked” issues
Then they may combine:
eye movements
acupressure points
affirmations
breathwork
nervous system regulation techniques
Sessions are often highly individualized.
